Tikse
Tikse is small village near Leh (About an hour's drive in the local bus), which has the most beautiful of Gompas.
The drive itself is through a really nice valley -
The Gompa from below. Nice, eh? The climb up is a bit steep, but not too difficult.
The main buildings inside are quite nice - the prayer halls especially. There's also a cool HUGE Buddha in there.
My favorite place was on the roof of the Gompa. What views!
