Pakistan border, Wagah

Having realized that we really must move on from Dharamshala, we decided to go to Amritzar, and look at the Sikh's Golden Temple. We got to Amritzar, and immediately whizzed off to see the Wagah border closing ceremony (Don't worry, there will be lot's of pictures from Amritzar in the next page).
This has to be one of the craziest places on earth. Each day at 18:30, thousands of Indians come to the border, to see it being closed. Showing off to Pakistan is important, so you get shouting, dancing, chanting and music of course. It's like a football game, but with more emotions. Crazy as hell. The guards are really funny too, with big moustaches and silly hats. Obviously the same thing happens across the border in Pakistan (only there the men and women are separated).

The crowd is also great to look at. Lot's of Indian women? you can bet it's gonna be colourful!

You can almost touch Pakistan, which is quite exciting.

And here are some Video clips of the event... You can see and hear the action. Note that these are rather large files.
