Our small slim greek wedding

In the end of July, we left for a vacation in Crete. This was actually my 30th birthday present from my parents (You can't really think of a better present, can you?). We took the opportunity, and decided to get married while we're there. Because of the stupid situation in Israel, there is only the option of religious marriage. However, if you have a civil marraige abroad, it is fine. So off we went to Crete, armed with birth certificates, apostile stamps and a couple of rings...

Michal has written a short guide to getting married in Crete. It's in hebrew, and you can find it in this link.

Royal Mare

We landed in Heraklion, took our nice car (Yannis, we named him) and after a short visit to the town hall (to tell them that we want to get married the next day) we went straight to Horsonisos, where our hotel was ready. It's a beautiful, beautiful hotel, with pools, and a beach and lot's of restaurants and a wine bar and other stuff. We actually spent most of our time in the hotel. It was so hot, we didn't feel like leaving...

The view from the terrace, where we spent most evenings was great: over the pools and white roofs of the hotel, down to the beach...

I've got some great pictures of Michal sitting down on the terrace....
