The small canals

My favorite part of Tortuguero were the small canals. It was so great just to travel around those with the little boats, watching the trees and their beautiful reflections. Of course you get to see many animals, too - birds, turtles, monkeys, Iguanas and even some Cayman (Which are like Crocodiles, only smaller).


The first picture here is the a flower called Pachira, after which they named the Lodge. The water lilies are all over that place. I like them.


Caymans and Monkeys

We did manage to spot a couple of Caymans. Those were really cute and cuddly (well, AJ didn't seem to like them so much, come to think of it).


We saw a lot of monkeys in Costa Rica. Here you can see the White-Faced one. We got really close to him... Wow.
