Bonding in Budapest

This is a short travelogue about a week-end I spent in Budapest, with my Dad. Budapest was a surprise - a lovely city, really nice and very pleasant. We spent 2 days there, and I have to say that it is quite enough, at least for me (I usually do not like 'cities', and prefer to climb some mountain or something). I hope you'll enjoy this page and my photos!

The Inter continental

We arrived in Budapest late at night, and we got a room in a hotel just on the Danube. We had splendid views of Buda!
View from the hotel, a bridge crossing the Danube.
And another picture at night. This is a nice hill, just across the hotel, and a nice museum on top. It is called Budai Vár (Buda castle)
Same bridge, but taken in the morning.
The Budai Vár (Buda castle) again.
The nice little hill with a park. It is called Gellért Hill.

Strolling around

First day, we set up on the tram (cool little music-singing thing) to the Grand Market Hall, and then across the Danube to Buda, to climb a little hill with a statue of mother-earth, and then to the museum hill (which you climb with a short cable car).
My dad in the tram (somewhat of a fuzzy picture, that one).
The Grand Market Hall (An indoor market)
The Hungarians are paprika kings! They are selling paprika and peppers all the time.
Some more nice veggies in the market.
