Bonding in Budapest

Still strolling around

After the closed market, we went to the other side (Buda), where I climbed the cool little hill (with the park).
Dad, crossing to Buda.
Same bridge.
The Danube, not much to say about it.
We went to see a Turkish Hamam, which is a not really exciting place (unless you want to see some nude fat man). They did have a nice indoor pool, though.

Gellért Hill

The Gellért Hill has a great park, with lot's of nice statues and good views. Well worth the 15 minutes climb...
Nice little statue.
A church, built inside the mountain.
A beautiful cross, on the climb up. I'm not a christian, so I hope I'm not going to hell because of this photo.
Another view of the cross.
Some green stuff.
Some views on the way up.
Still climbing...
Just a little further, and we're at the top...
Liberation Monument, nice.
The Liberation Monument again.
At the hill's top.
View from far above (not so far, but above)
On the way down, still in the park

The Margaret island

We went to the small Margaret island, in the midst of the Danube. We rented a really small electric car, drove around and acted silly.
Dad in the silly car. The island was actually quite nice, what with the forest, and the silly cars.
And here he is again...
Nice tree, in the island.
