How Comsys sent us to Hong Kong and Tokyo

Welcome to my page about our (Shay and Me, amongst others) trip to Hong Kong and Tokyo. In Nov 2002, Comsys sent a whole bunch of people to exhibit in the 2002 Telecom Asia show, and then do some more "marketing" work in Tokyo. I was in charge of the EDGE demo software side. We spent 8 days in Hong Kong, and then 4 more in Tokyo. Not too much, but as these are terribly exciting places, I took lot's of pictures... enjoy!

Hong-Kong

Hong Kong is a huge, bustling city, where you can see people running about virtually 24hours a day - it is one big market. The city is parted in two - Hong-Kong island, the small, southern island where most of the commerce is taking place, and the northern territories - part of mainland china. At night, the sight of all the buildings in HK island is amazing...
The Exhibition center, a huge complex built on Hong-Kong island.
Bank of China building. I think this is one of the most beautiful buildings that I've seen, especially at night!
Another cool building. This one had a nice light-show, different lights running up and down (well, all buildings have some kind of cool-light-effect in HK).
HK at night, it is so beautiful.
And here's another. The funny looking boat is the star ferry, the best way to move between the island and the mainland.
The Peninsula hotel stars from below. This is one of the most expensive hotels in HK, very famous...

Buying a digital camera

After a few days in HK, we came to the conclusion that the sole purpose of building HK was to lure you into buying a digital camera. Obviously we took the bait...

Nathan road - one large stretch of digital-camera shops.
The happy group - after we bought his entire stock of cameras, this guy was quite happy as well.
Shay with over 10Million pixels, the happiest moment of his trip.
Every guy's dream - a wall full of loud speakers. Hmmmmmm...
Still in the audio shop...
