Metalgrass network update

Wednesday, November 1st, 2006

I finally finished working on my current 5 sites.

OLED-Info has been updated to a CMS system (drupal). This was a lot of work (mainly to convert the old data), but it’s been worth it. Traffic has gone up, and page views has a doubled. Revenue has also doubled, more or less. I’ve got in touch with several more OLED companies, and should post some new interviews pretty soon.

U3, Spintronics and ExpressCard have been updated. I’ve made a new template (graphic wise). It looks lame, but it is at least consistent with my main sites, so it’s easier to work with. When/If the traffic will grow, I’ll have someone design the sites with good looking graphics.

Results of all this work? October has been the best month ever (both in AdSense revenue, and in total Metalgrass revenue).

So now I have to decide what to do next. More small sites? Or maybe start working on a larger-scoped project? Or invest even more time in OLED-Info? Not easy decisions.

OLED-Info updated!

Monday, September 18th, 2006

I finished updating OLED-Info, and the new site is on-line.

It took me a really long time, there was a huge amount of information to move, but I think it was worth it.

The new site should make it much easier for me to update!

OLED-Info merchandise

Monday, May 29th, 2006

I just opened a web store to sell OLED-Info merchandise. It is operated by Cafepress, where you can design your own stuff (from license plates frams to hats) and sell them. It’s pretty cool. Check them out.

If all goes well, I’ll try one for MRAM-Info as well. And for Metalgrass. Thank you Mitzy for these lovely logos!

Google calendar

Wednesday, May 3rd, 2006

Google calendar is really cool…

You can share your calendar with other people (Now I can see what Michal is doing, which is nice). The best part is that there are lot’s of public calendars, which you can easily import. Now I have the fixtures for the world cup, all music events in israel, Hapoel Tel Aviv games, all in my own calendar.

Nice, and free of course.

I also created a public calendar for all OLED events.

A visit to PixDro

Monday, May 1st, 2006

Today I was invited for a short visit in PixDro, an Israeli company involved in OLED inkjet printing.

It was really interesting, I got a lot of OLED related material, and have been shown some interesting presentations about inkjet printing and about PixDro themselves.
