AdSenseLog review

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

Check out this nice blog post about AdSenseLog.

“So now I’m refocusing on content sites and with some of them focusing on CPC rather than CPA, AdSenseLog will be a central tool in my decision-making process.”

Interestingly he found out about it in a Facebook Ad - guess my ads there are paying off.

AdSenseLog 4.5.6 released…

Friday, August 24th, 2007

Google made some changes to their web site, and I had to change AdSenseLog. Luckily it only took a couple of hours, and I released the new version.

Too busy…

Sunday, May 13th, 2007

Since I’m working almost only on TripTouch these days, I don’t have time for Metalgrass and my web sites. So I made a few decisions -

  1. I’ve closed down the Metalgrass blog, and also the AdSense forums. I just can’t seem to write 2 blogs, and soon I’m gonna start the TripTouch blog, so something’s gotta give.
  2. I’m looking to sell my two small sites - ExpressCard-Info and U3-info. If anybody is interested, please let me know…

New Metalgrass site and blog

Monday, November 13th, 2006

I’ve updated the Metalgrass site. A few graphical changes, and some text-copy change. I’ve also started to write a “Metalgrass blog”. Please tell me what you think!
So I expect that all technical-metalgrass-adsense issues will now be written in the Metalgrass blog. If you want to stay updated, please start reading that blog as well.

AdSenseLog updates

Sunday, November 5th, 2006

I finished development of AdSenseLog v4.5.0…
I have added a new feature… I don’t want to discuss it yet (hush hush), but it’s already in beta testing with a few clients. I hope they’ll give me good feedback.

Another thing I have added is a short survey when people uninstall the software. I find that I have many downloads, and a lot of people do not purchase. Some of them use the free version (if they earn less than 50$), some probably use a crack (yeah…) but some simply decide not to buy. Hopefully I’ll get a few answers, and it might help me make this a better product. I’ve added the survey to the un-installer of version 4.0.1.

Now I have another decision to make - what to do next? I have decided to start a new software project… Stay tuned!

Time management

Sunday, November 5th, 2006

One of the toughest things for me, now that I’m self employed, is time management.

It’s very easy to find myself just thinking about what I should do, checking my AdSense statistics, reading e-mails and blogs and stuff like that. One of my main problems was that I have two major things that I do - Software and web pages.

So I have made a decision that I’m gonna dedicate some days of the week to software, and some to my web pages. Currently sunday, tuesday and thursday are software days. Of course if I have OLED news I’d still update the site, but basically that’s the way I decided to do it.
I’m not sure if that’s the best way to split my time. In october, revenue from the web pages was over 65% of my total revenue… So I guess I should put more time into web sites, rather than software.

Anyway, so far it’s going quite well. It helps me to be more focused. In the past, when I wrote AdSenseLog 4.0.0, it took me a lot of time. So basically it was a time with almost no web site updates. Now these things won’t happen again.

AdSenseLog video review on-line!

Monday, September 18th, 2006

Check this out - a video review of AdSenseLog. It’s pretty cool!!

It only works in Explorer (well, at least on my desktop, Opera and Firefox didn’t work correctly).

The review also appears in Times on line, and The Sun (!), and other places.

Rather cool.

AdSenseLog v4.0.0 released

Monday, August 28th, 2006

I’ve just released the new AdSenseLog version (4.0.0).

This is a complete re-write of the software. I think I made a good job, the code is now way better than the old patchy code. Everything is OOP as it should be.

I have made extensive changes to the user interface, and have included many new features:

  • Data is now cached locally
  • New user interface
  • Ability to ’save’ reports as ‘custom reports’
  • Full support for Referrals, for Referral channels and Search channels
  • New payment view
  • Updated summary view
  • New best-channel pie graphs
  • Changes to all tables, graphs and reports
  • And many other small updates, bug fixes and changes

Karteset 2.1.0 released

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

I just released a new version of Karteset (2.1.0). It was a small release, and it included a few bug fixes and just a small new feature (URL highlighting in cards). I also changed the installation to Inno setup, which is the new installation tool I’m going to use from now on.
