Our trip to Ireland

Welcome to my page about our Ireland trip. In June 2003, Michal and me went to a short (8 days) trip to Ireland. Even though we had to rush from place to place, it was really fun, and here's a short travelogue with pictures and recommendations....enjoy!

Getting there is half the fun

The plan was to fly from Tel-Aviv to Prague. We bought the tickets from Czech airlines, the only airline that actually had tickets (we ordered the flight 2 days before...) and then from Prague to Dublin. The flight delayed for 2 hours (they deported a dozen of illegal Czech workers from Israel). Of course we missed the connection flight. We got a flight to Paris, and then from Paris to Dublin. That flight got delayed as well. When we finally reached Dublin, it was about 12 hours since we left Israel. Phew!

The really cool Paris airport. I really liked how this airport looked.
A funny little jet, taking us to Dublin...

Enniskerry

After landing in Dublin, we took our car (A cool little 206 we named Pete), and drove to Enniskerry (We didn't even stayed 10 minutes in Dublin). Near Enniskerry we saw the lovely PowerScourt mansion (check their site here). We stayed in a nice B&B called "The Cherbury".
Pete! Our beloved car, how we miss thee.
Lot's of green!
The PowerScourt mansion. They had nice gardens, and everything is oh-so-green. We were still excited by green on the first day...
Not bad, eh?
Cute little tower, somewhere on the grounds.
